the reason i ask is that i'm after some 5.5 x 13 steel or 5.5 x 14 steel that i can fit the original hubcap to. dave took a long time for this post to appear hence the reason its on here a few times

From a 1987 Indespension catalogue:

I knew I'd be glad I'd kept that catalogue - though it's worth keeping just for the magnificent cover, which shows a gathering at a lake side, where they'd gathered 20 people, 12 trailers, a horse, and a greyhound, all posed "realistically", presumably to show how jolly useful trailers are.

I particularly like the man shovelling sand and bricks onto the grass, and the bloke about to hit his mate over the head with a sledge hammer, while the customer at the catering van looks on. Priceless.

And this was all pre-Photoshop, so someone really did gather all those people and kit together, and make them hold daft poses. Did no-one have the courage to point out to the MD that not all Friday afternoon, post-good-lunch ideas should survive the harsh reality of Monday morning?

Perhaps the crag-visaged Alderman Foodbotham was also Chairman of Indespension - "Look, lad, ah want that photo and ah'll have that bloody photo - just get it done".
