2004 silver durango paint rust issue

I have a 2004 silver durango and have had the following problem ever since I got it. A week or so after I got it I noticed a couple of tiny dust spots/speckles. When touching it it would feel a little rough and it would come off so I didn't pay much attention to it.

A few weeks later there were more and as time went by they increased considerably. So,I take it to the dealer and they buffed it or whatever they called it and it got worse. So I take it a second time and the same thing happens.

Long story short,I took it to them a total of 4 times and they couldn't fix it.Right now the car looks not like a brand new car.

After the 4th time I decided to pursue the issue legally..I ended up going to a hearing with the Attorney General's office and a representative/lawyer from Chrysler and they told me that since it's not a safety problem that can cause injury and that it doesn't affect in any way the drivability of the car they won't do anything about it..They told me that I should give them a chance to fix it,eventhough they had already tried 4times.

I really thought that I was the only one but along the way I have met with people that have different colored Magnums and Durangos that have the same problem but they were just starting with the repair procedures.

Is there anyone out there that is having any similar problems with the paint on their 2004 or newer Dodge car or truck?

Where are these spots on your Durango. I had similiar issues. I ended up having the dealer coat it with POR-15. They sent me to this site:
