does anyone know if this is caused by a bad alternator? when my car is running and i rev the motor i hear the revving through the radio. thanks

Bad alternator or diode therein is a good candidate. Other possibility is ignition noise from old cables.

it's a 1998 dodge avenger and said it happens more once the car warms up .thanks for the replies
