Why do you spend that kind of money on a '72 Newport?

WOW, they even put a shaker scoop style air cleaner with no shaker hood. (Scratches head)

For $1500 -- assuming you like the fuselage styling, assuming everything in the ad is true and no unpleasant surprises -- then that looks like quite a decent vehicle in return. But you'd have to see the car first to verify the assumptions.

It looks like it's been well cared for, the paint and chrome all look sharp, it's got a lot of good hardware already installed to boost performance, etc.

With a little more cash spent on reupholstering, etc., it would be a nice and very unusual ride. That car driving around in a sea of Camrys and Accords would be quite amusing. It all depends on what you like.

It was surprising to see a six-pack kit on a 400. It would have been interesting to have seen at least some stopwatch-based 0-60 times listed. If it's well tuned then with 3.55 posi gears it probably moves out very well.

Regardless of the year/make/model/condition, I wouldn't buy any car with crank windows. I had enough of those and don't need any more...

This one died out for less than the price of the six pack set up!
