common and well known issue with 1st. generation Neons. new in 1994 when it first came out. We are so upset. She really has been taking care of the car all these years. Lately she hasn't been maintaining it like she normally should have and she hates herself for it. Here is her website with photos of her cute Neon: Jane

Unless she got the engine HOT their is nothing she could have done to prevent this problem. THE headgasket is most likley leaking Requiring replacement of the headgasket ... You need to have it checked DON"T be tempted to put magic cures in the radiator They will only cause further problems
