1992 Ford Explorer 4x4 electrical problem.

My wife?s 1992 Ford Explorer idles down as she puts on brakes and the ABS, Check Engine light, and Battery light blink. The speaker makes a popping sound even though the radio was not on. The mechanic put new back drum brakes on because he drove it and no lights came on. But after putting the brake drums on the ABS light came on according to the Ford Dealership. What do you think? If electrical what do you think is the problem?

Might be bad alternator...sometimes the local parts store will test them for free. Also try pulling fuses one at a time to isolate the circuit that has the problem.
