Hello Folks, I have 1994 XLT with 138000+ miles. A couple months back I lost all speeds of the fan except the high speed, regardless if its set on A/C, heat, vent etc. Is this a fuse or has the switch gone bad. Odd that only the high speed works though. Any suggestions or help?

Could be the resister pack or the connections to the pack. It's located somewhere in the duct work for the AC system, can't recall if it's inside the engine compartment or passenger compartment but I think Passenger. You can empty your glove box and release the stop tabs on the glove box door and let it swing down and I think you'll see it. It has a decent sized connector with half a dozen wires or so connected to it. When the fan is on high speed it bypasses the resistor pack.

I'm with AZ on this one too. My '94 EB's resistor pack was accessible from under the hood back near the blower motor housing. If your switch IS bad, send me an email and I'll send you one NIB. I bought it (stupidly) thinking that my loss of fan speeds was caused by a bad switch, too.

Hi there, To my experience with American cars I had the same problem with two deffirent models of Chevy Caprice. The fault was someting like a relay that would operate the fan. Usually you would loose the low speed and the blower will swithch on at High speed. In my case this was in the Hood on the passenger side. A small box a little bigger than the match box. Cheers M8
