ford explore vibration and pop in th frontend

When i get to about 50mph there is a vibration you can feel but not hear it is constant and agrivating. I also have a problem with a popping in the front end it occurs when you hit a bump or dip in the road. I have replced the shocks upper ball joints and wheel bearings. Everone has took a guess but noone is serious about it but i have three children in this vehicle everyday. I would appreciate any serious ideas as to what the problem may be.

You didn't say what year your explorer is but if it's 1991-94, it sounds like radius arm bushings. Search google groups, you'll find much information on this.

its a 96 but could it still be the radius arm bushings and would this cause both problems.

The front end was redesigned in '95 and the radius arms / bushings were no longer used.

Remove the covers over the rear torsion bar mounts. Spray the mounts / pads liberally with wd 40 and see if the popping goes away, This should make the noise almost disappear for a day or two till the wd 40 dries out.
