When we got our 2002 Explorer XLT fifteen months ago, we had the so called "Paint Protectant" put on it.
Yesterday I noticed a couple of places on the hood that looked like this very thin film may be starting to deteriorate. We are in Central Florida.
I have used the "Paint Protectant Cleaner" a couple of times.
Any opinions on this stuff? The "Cleaner" seems to just be liquid polish.
I have no idea about the product on your vehicle, but I can tell you this: None of those "sealants" really work for long, Especially in extreme climates like Florida. If you REALLY are serious about making your paint job stay good looking for a as long as possible, invest in some good carnauba wax and wax AT LEAST every other month...every month is even better. Liquid carnauba is fine, and easier to use than the paste stuff.
