Warn 4x4 for a 91 explorer.

Does anyone have the average cost and time consumption for this transfer. I have the electric changeover now and would like to get rid of it before winter hits here in VA. Also a list of parts would be helpful. Everything is stock at the moment.

Thanks in advance.

If you are just looking for manual hubs it takes about $180 and an hour or so to switch from the autohubs. You will need the special wrench for the new hub nuts.

If you are talking about getting rid of the servo motor I don't know about that. If you need to fix your servo motor I suggest you do a google.com search as it has been discussed many times.

I bought the special wrench and then found out later that I could rent or borrow it from the Auto Parts store. df

.

If you mean the "big ass" socket I bought it too when I changed my rotors. It doesnt seem like the changeover is much more hassle than that procedure.

By "big ass" socket" do you mean the hex socket to remove the existing nuts or the socket with the two prongs to install the new nuts? I found I did not need a big socket to remove the old nuts I just tapped it gently with a small hammer and screwdriver until the little pin thing was loose enough to get out and at that point the old nut was only finger tight.
