Old man has an 02 automatic mustang gt, 4.6L
When going from Reverse to Drive (Or the opposite) the RPM's die down and it stalls at times...
Any quick fix for this? It has new plugs just last summer before he put it away...
Possibly the Idle Air Control valve. Will it idle in neutral?
Idles fine in neutral, and in reverse or drive, but just when you go from reverse to a forward gear or forward gear to reverse, she dies right down and at times stalls... about 20% of the time it stalls...
Probably not the IAC, then. Did it do this before it was put away, or since being brought out of storage? If it's a new problem, check your intake airways for possible rodent nesting. Try some dry-gas in the tank. Maybe you got a little condensation.
