94 ford ranger, 4 cyl, distributorless, won't start

May 29, 2006 1 Replies

Originally, vehicle missed under load. Discovered no spark to 1 cylinder Replaced Ignition control module (ICM). Now vehicle won't start, cranks, but won't start Re-installed original ICM, vehicle still won't start KOEO code is currently showing 111, which is "system pass" Baffled... any ideas?

So it started and ran before you replaced the ICM, but now it won't? The first thing I'd suspect is the work you did. Either the new part is bad, or you damaged the wires when swapping the new one in.

That's where I'd start.
