No. If it starts, there is not a problem. If it doesn't start, either you need a new battery or there is another problem, like with the alternator or the voltage regulator.

================================ Only if it is parked out in the weather or you have starting problems, or it sits for a few days or more. If you do put it on a charger, make sure it is a FULLY AUTOMATIC one so you dont overcharge it.
