Dumb question of the day?

86 Ford 5.0, which side of the motor is the timing pointer on - left (US Driver) or right (US passenger) ? I have my fuel pump installed, working, now trying to make sure I have the timing set propery, and can be set properly again when I mess it up. THanks bob
