Anyone know where the bottom pulley timing marks are on a 1998 Escort Zetec engine ?

There is no notch in the flywheel?
IIRC, yours requires the use of a locating pin inserted from the back of the engine near the front pulley... I can only suggest getting a manual for your car to be sure of the procedure.
