Motor Compatibility for 1996 Ford Escort

I wanted to see if anyone knew if the motor out of a 1993 Mercury Tracer would have the same bolt pattern as a 1996 Ford Escort, or would it even work, the



1993 Tracer is a automatic and the 1996 Escort is a standard.
