i want to put the motor out of my 89 cougar which is a 3.8 into a 87 bronco

4x4 which had a 2.9. will i have any problems changing these motors out

Yes.

The 2.9 is a 60 degree "Cologne" V-6. The 3.8 is a 90 degree "Essex" V-6.

Which is just the start of your troubles.

But anything can be done with enough time & money. What's your budget?

Rob

If you want performance and space is a problem the Taurus SHO is a 60 degree V6.
