Replacing fuel filter

2001 ford f-150 supercrew with 5.4 v8. How do you disengage the fuel line from the fuel filter?

Tool is available at auto parts stores everywhere... be sure that there is no dirt or debris in the connections. The latching springs are easy to damage leaving a suspect connection. Be careful, this line may be under pressure.. unplugging the inertia switch or fuel pump relay and starting the motor will reduce this pressure.

There is a spot on the engine to relieve fuel pressure. Looks sorta like a tire stem. The tool is inexpensive. Buy at a parts store. Ask the clerk to show you how.
