Can't figure out how to get in to look at motor or maybe it is a relay or something. It locks when you push it down but it won't suck it down. Does anyone know what may be wrong?

Yes, most of them have 2 switches...one on top latch (male side), one on bottom(receiver or "female" side, the one on top is out of sync. if you take a small screwdriver and pull the switch down, when you close the trunk, that should work for you. OTHERWISE, you may have to replace one or both of the switches.
