My 2005 ZX4 SES trunk light doesn't always turn on when the trunk opens. The car has only a thousand miles on it, and is in excellent condition. Has anyone else experienced this?

To follow up on the first post, it seems that the car doors have to be unlocked for the trunk light to turn on. Does this ring familiar to anyone?
Have you tried manually manipulating the push switch? Sounds like it is sticking.
