2000 - 2003 F-150 Horsepower/Torque difference??

I had a 2000 F-150 4x4 Offroad: 5.4L, EOD tranny, 3.55 gears, K&N filter. Now have 2003 F-150 4x4 FX4: 5.4L, EOD tranny, 3.55 gears, K&N filter.

My 2000 hit the speed limiter at 125mph and had a lot of torque, giving the my ex's Chevy 5.7L fits in a race and spun the tires with ease. My

2003 hit's the limiter at 110 mph and torque is decreased and the Chevy is now keeping up with me and it will hardly spin the tires at all.

I thought Ford up the numbers on the 5.4L since 2000 model year??? It should, in theory, beat the Chevy by a bigger margin.

What's going on here?

Thanks,

The real question is why are you drag-racing your ex-wife in pickup trucks?

"gw" started a controversy when he said in news:bdc3rb$kid$ snipped-for-privacy@bob.news.rcn.net:

HAHAHAHAHA...Busted!

Well...we were married when I had the 2000 and, of course, I had to prove my Ford was better.
