2001 F-150 won't start

Just got out of the hardware store and the truck wouldn't start. Strong crank, no warning lights lit. Suspecting fuel pump, ignition module or passive security system. Has anyone heard of a known problem with this year and model? Thanks ...

Just a couple of SWAGs.

Put on the parking brake and start to see if the antitheft crap is screwing with you. Also, there is probably a fuel cutover breaker somewhere under the dash, check the ownere's manual.

I checked the fuel cutoff ... it wasn't tripped. The antitheft crap (yep - I feel the same way about it) ... the light still is flashing on the dash once the door is close. Even tried another "chip" key ... just in case one was screwed-up. How is the parking brake tied to it?

All thoughts welcome :-)

Not sure but if you disconnect the battery for a while you can't start the engine unless you put on the parking brake. At least that happens on a

2003. The Theft Light on the dash flashes real fast too as if you have the wrong key.
