6.8 Lt V10 or 6.0 V8 Diesel

6.8 LTR (Gas) VS 6.0 LTR (Diesel) Ok guys and gals, I need some in=put from the group. I'm in the midst of buying a 2004 F250 Crew Cab. I'm not going to do a whole bunch of towing, but occasionally tow a 22' deep well aluminum fishing boat. (its heavier than a normal bass boat) It pulls behind a Chevy 1500 ok. (Yea I know, Chevy 1500 - I'm only human, I'm entitled to one mistake in my truck buying adventures)

I have heard Ford is having allot of problems with the 6.0 diesel. Although it concerns me, but I believe there is far more better trucks out there than bad trucks.

I've never owned a diesel.

Can anyone tell me what kind of gas mileage the 6.8 V10 gets and how much mileage can I expect on a 6.0 V8 diesel. Most of my driving is city, some light xway (except for towing, its all xway)
