Got a 97 f-150 that the radio, power windows and the warning dinger for keys still in the ignition stay on even with the keys out of the switch. any ideas? the computer doesn't show anything as wrong

I believe there is some type of piston in your ignition switch that moves when you remove the keys. You might try spraying some appropriate lubricant in there to see if you can get it to unstick.
If it is one of the electronic ones, I don't really know how they work, but maybe try a different key or try to reset the sensor by disconnecting the battery for a while.
