My friend's 99 Windstar (3.8L V6) has an interesting problem. The other day the AC compressor cut the hose from the radiator to the reservoir. We replaced it and did our best to get as much clearance as possible. We checked it tonight and the compressor's pulley is just starting to cut it again. We tried to find a reason and are wondering how much the engine should shift when going from Drive to Reverse? Or, is this just a problem with these vans?
