Has anyone here installed an after market theft alarm in thir vehicle? I was thinking of putting one on my 99 F150 XLT. It has the factory anti-theft disabler and power door locks. I was wondering if I would be able to lock/unlock the doors with the alarm and whether the lights/horn would flash etc. Will this end up working like a factory alarm? I actually want the door lock/unlock feature most since the vehicle already has the disabler.

I just installed a Hornet 700T from Directed Electronics in my F-250. It uses the factory keyless entry, should be just what you want. Took about two hours, cost about $70

Sorry, I don't follow you here. Did you truck already have a remote for the locks or did you just have power locks?
I am trying to figure out if I can make my power locks work with an aftermarket alarm.

Sorry I didn't follow you the first time. Sure, any decent alarm will work your door locks.
