In trying to find a solution to a dome light problem, I ran across a black box under the dash stamped only with KARR on it. This box is connected to a small black box with a led light on it and is located on the kick panel under the steering wheel. Any ways, I unplugged three of the six connectors to see if things would change with the dome light (a shot in the dark). No luck, but when I plugged the connectors in, the horn went off and I was unable to start the car. I disconnected the three plugs and the horn went off and I can start the vehicle.
This system was put in by previous owners and I have no way of locating them. The dealer I bought it through purchased it at an auction and has no information on the system.
If anyone is familiar with this system and can help, I would appreciate it. I need to know how to remove this system or if there is a way to reset it so that I can use the vehicle after I plug the connections back in. My fear is that I will get out of town and the system will disable the car since there are still three connections.
I emailed a KARR dealer to see if they could help, but I'm not counting on much help there unless I take the car to them. I'm not ready for a 6 hour drive to their nearest location.
