I like steel wheels for their strength and price but they rust and corrode after a few Canadian winters from all of the salt on the roads. Is there a better alternative material.

Clear coated aluminum wheels!
The non coated aluminum wheels pit and get electrolosysed with all the salt.
THe manufacturers should be compelled to make the steel wheel's finishes last as long as the vehicle's finish/
It can be done with decent materials, but they look to save a buck and pork the end user anyway they can!
