I know you get a great sound out of duals on a 302, but what about the
300 I6 on a 1993 F-150? Stupid idea?

Beyond stupid......borderline moronic.
If you put on a 3 into 2 header, then one of the exhaust systems from Borla, they sound like a big block, but for what they cost, you could about buy a big block.
Cat-back duals on a six cylinder with stock manifolds and catalytic converter sounds like a tractor.
