APA INVESTIGATIONS :
The APA has received reports that steering tie rod ends on 1997-2003 Ford F150 and F250 light duty pickups and 1997-2002 Ford Expeditions are wearing prematurely. It also appears that the tie rod ends can separate in service. A single APA shop in the Montreal area, has reported changing 10 tie rod ends on these vehicles, with a recent case involving a towed in vehicle that had seen a complete rod end separation. The APA would like to hear from consumers who have replaced the tie rod ends on these vehicles.
