F250

I just bought a used 2000 F250 and can't find the jack. The dealer said it was stored under the passenger side rear seat, but when I lift the seat, it does not even look as if there is any bracketing for holding a jack. I didn't see it in the engine compartment either, but I might not have been looking in the right place. Anybody know where it's supposed to be stored?

Thanks in advance.

I have a 2000 F250 crew cab. The jack is a small bottle jack. It is stored behind the rear seat on the passenger side. There are a couple of metal hooks on the floor that stick up through the carpet. A rubber strap with metal hooks fasten the jack to the floor.

Martin was referring to a Crew Cab. The OP didn't specify his model. My CC has it under the passenger side rear seat. I suspect that your model is not a Crew Cab.

It should be the same as mine. Under the hood is the lug wrench and two piece handle. The handle gets the key to be able to lower the spare from under the bed and it is also the jack handle. The lug wrench snaps on the handle to act as a crank.

The jack is stored behind the back seat on the passenger side in the crew cab.

On the 99 Super Duty, SUPER CAB, the jack is under the rear seat, passenger side, and the handle and lug wrench are under the hood across the front.

The jack bracket is attached to the seat bracket and if the jack was missing, you probably wouldn't realize a jack belonged there.

Thanks. BTW, it's a 2000 super crew. I think I located where it is supposed to be - just inside the support bracket for the seat. That round knob rotates and somehow must be used to lock or restrain the jack. Anyway, thanks for the help.
