front bumper hitch

I have a 96 Ranger 4X4 and would like to mount a trailer hitch on the front bumper for maneuvering a light wt (1000 lb) tent trailer into tight places. It doesn't have to be very heavy duty. Any suggestions for a cheap solution?

Easy to do if you don't mind it not centered. Had one on an old Chevy some years ago. Was mounted on the right frame member under the bumper. Mounting the hitch that way gives you some view of what's behind the trailer but of course you can't see the passenger's side. You could just get a box receiver for one of the small (Class 1 or 2) hitches and mount it there. Then you could select the right ball mount for your trailer.
