New engine in 2004?

Is Ford coming out with a new engine (gas) in 2004? I've had two 460s and luved them...has the V-10 performed admirably?

TIA

Chap started a controversy when he said in news: snipped-for-privacy@4ax.com:

The smaller 4.6l and 5.4l will pull away from the V10 from a dead stop, but after getting up some speed the V10 definately begins to pull. If you are really looking for the pulling power, go with the diesel.

I'm going to be looking at an F-450 crew-cab dually to pull a fifth-wheel. Are the Ford diesels quiet?

The 6.0L is quiet. The older 7.3L is a tad noisy.

I haven't heard much good about the 6.0L. I hear that there are many problems to be sorted out. IF you do go for the Diesel option I recommend a tried and true 7.3L.

Oh, you'll know. believe me. On the other hand, why would you have a rod knocking?
