Hello I'm new here, I'm replacing the points and plugs on my '64 Ford F-100, it was hard enough finding parts, nobody seems to know the gaps to set them to. The block is 272, but it has many 292 parts on it, I'm hoping the gaps are the same, being that they're the same family of engine. Thanks in advance for the info.-Jitney

to be honest with you, I would throw the points it the glove box to have as spares, and put a pertronix ignitor in there. then you would never have to touch it again. I did this years ago to all the falcons, the 66 7 litre, a bunch of fe block trucks, and a few john deere…

My 1978 Motorcraft book shows .030" for 62-64 truck with 292.
Ford V8 Performance Book shows points at .015", dwell at 26-28 degrees. Plugs are at .032-.036"
