I have a 91 bronco, when the motor is really hot, it turns over really slow, like it is gonna guy. Is that the same thing as you are talking about? What can we do about that?

Yes it happens. If I recall correctly they originally had a heat shield installed to protect them from exhaust pipe heat, but a lot of people don't put them back on when they change the starter.
