'93 F-150, just installed one of those newfangled HD radio receivers, I've found an annoying "feature" - the buzzer that goes off when you open the door apparently causes enough RF interference to cause the digital radio signal to drop out, so the radio goes dead if you're listening to one of the non-primary HD channels on a frequency. It is definitely the buzzer; I disconnected it and it stopped doing it. OK to leave disconnected? would be nice as I've got the typical Ford busted ignition lock so the buzzer goes off whenever you open the door, even with the key out, unless you have the little rotating thingy set just so. Just wanted to make sure that it wouldn't disable the fuel pump priming function or something stupid like that.
