Jun 13, 2010 1 Replies

Speedo seems to hardly ever work right when it cold. Now that is warm it has been working ok most of the time.

Mine does the same thing. It's the speedo cable sticking in the housing. Lubrication inside the cable might help. I was told to use a graphite oil for this. In cold weather the oils get thicker and make the speedo bounce.

If your temp gauge is stuck, replace the sending unit (or the gauge itself is bad). There are no other parts except wire. Of course be sure the wire is not bare and touching a ground (metal part of body or engine). Check the wire first.
