I have 30K on my 08 Forester. I see that the maintenance schedule recommends a coolant change. What retail coolant in the US do you guys recommend using? I plan on dropping the thermostat and doing a complete flush.

Thinking whatever you use just has to be phosphate-free.

I just took my '03 Forester to the dealer for an antifreeze leak. Only have 36K on it but had another shop change it about 10K ago. Service manager said that they would have not used Subaru's "special additive." Hopefully they won't find the problem that plagued them up to and including '02 but if they had done the service I might argue for extended warranty. Basically, I'm saying spend a few more bucks by taking to the dealer for peace of mind.
