....with a 400 tranny. Delays when cold "in all gears". It's fine after it's warm. Pump maybe?

Leaking or partially blocked modulator vacuum line? Water collected around modulator diaphram, freezing when it is cold?

Those 400's are good, tough trannies. How long since filter and fluid been changed--the filter does a good of straining the fluid, and stops up easily. May be the weakest AND strongest part in that tranny! HTH, & good luck. s
