'92 Cavalier heater core plastic union fitting

Howdy all..... :-)

Finally, after much turning of the air blue, I have located the coolent leak in my '92 Cavalier station wagon and yes, it turns out the culprit is one of the infamous plastic union fittings which has split.

My first thought was to use a Dremel to remove the fitting and replace it with a sturdy bit of hose and clamps, but now I see that those plastic (PVC....or ????) lines are partially floating through the firewall.

Any recommendations on what to replace this rascal with? Thanks! :-)

If your 95 is like the 89 Z- 24 I had, the plastic pipe breaks off the side tank of the heater core. You need a new heater core

Good Luck
