Always a shame for people to be unemployed. However, it was a concept that was functionally little improved over what was tried in the early part of the 20th century. My mother rode in an electric car way back then. Perhaps Nordic should have converted them to tracked snow vehicles.
Not sure the one-up seat would have gone over very well.
