cT = 0.85
if you're driving a 50's car with 50's oil technology, then no, it is not possible. if you're driving a modern computer controlled car that doesn't dump gas and doesn't contaminate the oil with excess soot or other combustion products, and that car uses a lubricant with modern oil technology, then it's more than possible.
get oil analysis done and you'll find that in a lot of cases, the 10k interval is actually quite conservative.
Thanks for the good info.
BTW what is "cT = 0.85" ? ...
Probability.

Provided the correct oil is used, yes.
Don't you have a Maintenance Minder?
yup, 85% troll.
Yes, I think that's what it was for the 2004 Accord as well.
A year or so later they added the maintenance minder feature which calculates wear and tear as you drive, and tends to recommend changes somewhat more often.

My 2011 CR-V EX-L has maintenance minder. At 6000 miles it said I had 40% (dino) oil life remaining. I stick to my old habits and change the oil and filter (Mobil 1) every 5,000 miles. Maybe it's a waste of money, but I'd rather do that and feel more confident. Also, the oil drained was pretty dark - and no I didn't do a scientific analysis. I buy the oil and filters for my cars at Auto Zone or Advance Auto Parts, etc. when they have a special sale on Mobil oil & filter I stock up. To each his/her own.
