Id like to add some 3/8" insulation with alum. foil exterior if there is space. It dramatically cut down on road noise with my other car. Thanks.

It may help if you gave the car model and year.
In most cases, there's plenty of room up there.

Thanks HyundaiTech...ill proceed to take them out and add insulation above .
