1992 XJ6/40 Won't Start

I did not drive the XJ6/40 Jag for 7 or 8 days and this morning I went to start it but nothing happens.

The dash panel gauges do nothing when I turn the ignition key and neither do the electronic seat belt for shoulders slide as usual when I turn the key. Hmmm.

Any ideas where I should start?

Thanks

Dead battery? Fred

Dead battery, corroded battery terminals, or you didn't have the tranny in "park" or "neutral".

Always start with the simple stuff.

Dead battery.

Replace the battery if it's dead and more than 3 years old.

Seatbelt system. Search at jag lovers. The switch in the automatic seatbelt system fails and runs the battery down. Can't tell your location , but in the US it will be reparied by the dealer for the life of the car.
