Sounds like a diode in your light switch module may have failed. Have you ever jump started someone or have been jumped yourself?
Module is part of the light switch assembly on the column. Remove it and use an OHM meter to check all diodes. Diodes can be bought locally or from NEWARK electronics.

Blake;
Checked the diodes and sure enough, one was bad. Replaced it and now works fine.
Thanks for the good advice.
