A friend of mine has a Series III XJ6 and the other day it dumped about a litre of transmission fluid on his drive way. He topped it up again and hasn't had a problem since. For some reason, he had unintentionally reved the motor pretty hard while in reverse. After that he reversed the car up his his fairly steep drive way at normal slow speed. Did the revving have anything to do with the oil loss? GrahamL

Wow Graham, sounds a bit freaky. I would pull myself under the car and try to find the source of the leak.
I will look into this.
Cheers, Blake
Yeah. He isn't planning any long trips. It hasn't leaked since, however.
