Tell me about it. Mine can cost up to £70 to fill up in the UK.
However, I just got back from a Europe road trip. A full tank plus a sandwich in Luxembourg cost me abot £40.
...It makes you wonder what they do with the money they're taking in tax...

Holy shit!!
You would have to wealthy to drive up there.
Qld AU, 77c (AUD) = 31.5p (GPB) My 420G uses that one (Club outing car), XJ6 runs on LPG (Every day transport). Yesterday I filled the XJ6 and the cost was .32c (AUD) = .13 (GPB)

Tristan, would it not be more economical to keep and drive the XJ40?
Down under they are getting excellent economy from those cars, compared to the SIII which love fuel. However we do have a Jaguar repairer who rebuilds SIII's from scratch, and fits them with a 4ltr AJ6 motor and trans. Gives you a beautiful new car with a great motor. :-)

paying for the asyllum seekers to stay here.
Yep, but I'm hardly the world's most sensible person!
UK is great isn't it.
Come to the UK and pay tax at a rate of about 400 % on a gallon of petrol. Give money to the governement to build roads and then pay tolls to use them.
I can feel my blodd pressure going up again.

No, UK is krap.
I got tired of blowing a valve every time I thought about it and quit the country.

You don't have to be mad to live here but it helps!
Anyone with a car that has an engine greater than 1.4l ought to be in an asylum! (me, V12 XJS & V8 XJ8 Sport, twice as mad :-S)
