I have just boughten a 1997 Grand Cherokee 4.0 6cyl Auto. It wont idle. Runs fine above 2000rpm. When sitting at a light or in the driveway, the vehicle will not idle. Any thoughts? 197,000

Could be any number of other things but start by spraying the throttle body clean. The idle air motor might be clogged up.

Do you have any pictures of the 318 V-8 throttle body?
