Calico

Man, I went to Calico yesterday with the XJ and beat up some rocks. I only left a little red paint behind. That place is great! I've never been so I went up with a few NAXJA folks. Also, the mines up there are amazing. They are all over. I carefully explored a few. Since Los Coyotes is closed its my new favorite place. Pictures coming some day soon. I will post them when I get to it. KH

Here is a random webpage of pictures from someone elses trip so you can see what Im talking about. KH

I don't know what is funnier, the fact that these old picture are still on the net, or the fact that they are still posted here.. Its been awhile since I've been around here, like about 3 years. How the hell has everyone been ? My jeep has changed quite a bit, its now SOA on 37's with an auto and a whole lot more body damage.

Can you post pictures here, or just link them ? Hey Strickland, you going to TDS ?

Course? We don't follow no stinking course, and if we do, it's marked with the Red flags or the Black ones. The Green flag courses are crowded, but the Red and Black are usually open. I like to make the Red and Black flag courses look easy.

I hate TDS. ;) Last year's TDS caused my front control arm brackets to be nearly torn off and since I didn't spot the problem until I got home, drove home with my front axle nearly ready to fall off with my steering wheel nearly upside down. I was fixated on thinking I had done something to the tie rod or drag link so even though they looked fine, I stupidly never even looked at my control arm mounts. I'm thankful both the Tera control arms that contributed to that problem together with the entire suspension has been replaced with a new/better setup.
