Is there any kind of old archival data for crash tests on CJ7s available on the web anywhere? (Did they even do crash tests back in the olden days??)
I'd just like to see this out of personal curiosity if it exists. And no I'm not planning on crashing one. :-)
They suck in a crash. There is that huge metal dash board that will slam into your knees, and that is just the beginning.
in either case, you are going to have to drive with a paper bag over your head, just on the chance that anyone you know sees you driving it.
Actually, one of my first memories of TV was getting up too early on Saturday morning and seeing crash tests on TV before the cartoons came on. That was back in the late '60 or very early '70's.
So, they've been doing them for a while.

Actually, looking at the link Joe posted, a 1984 CJ7 got 4 stars for both front and side impacts. Who'da thunk it?
